Walkspace recently completed a small project for the public of Christchurch with the supply of Christchurch City Council bike racks
Working with lead contractors Bushnell Builders, Walkspace developed and fabricated the stands for the New Te Kahu Park sports facility in Wigram. The project was a first for us working with new clients and in a new region which we are extremely proud to be associated with.
Bike racks are a key to any public space as they reaffirm and promote an alternative transportation method to the site. We believe they are a critical component to any public space however for them to be fully utilised by the public freely and effectively they need to be durable and secure.
Constructed from S/S 316 the bike racks offer supreme durability and weather resistance. As the bike rack width is larger than the usual standard, the stand offers the user full lock-ability to secure both front and rear wheels further reducing any chance of theft.
Were hoping that if your utilising the sports fields and require transportation to and from (and require some extra training) jump on your bike, there will be a few less cars on the road.
