School of Architecture & Design– Victoria University Wellington
As part of a wider modernisation programme at Victoria University central city campus, Walkspace were approached by lead architects Architectus to supply the F Series Mini and Large benches to the School of Architecture & Designs main interior atrium.
A stylised Tukutuku motif designed by Architectus was employed throughout the building’s interior and exterior and Walkspace were able to easily integrate the pattern into the seating with ease whilst ensuring the functionality wasn’t compromised.
“This is a prime example of Walkspace’s ability to integrate its catalogue furniture seamlessly in any space without additional cost or delay” says Jon Scanlan of Walkspace.
“We worked with the University to supply full working prototypes prior to production and this allowed our clients to see first-hand our products, feel and test, and to ensure materials and finishes worked successfully within the given environment”
This is also the first interior project Walkspace have worked on which allowed the team to explore alternative materials and finishes.
