Deep Creek Reserve located in the sunny seaside suburb of Torbay on Auckland’s North Shore has undergone a 1.25 Million dollar upgrade and is now once again open to the public.
Given the increased demand on sports fields in the area the primary focus was the inclusion of lighting which extends the use time on the reserve, approximately 12 hours per week. A new toilet block, a training pitch, a sealed carpark as well as additional seating and bike racks were also included in the upgrade.
Walkspace supplied their popular D_02 benches as well as the BR_02 Bike racks on the project both in marine grade stainless steel 316 given the close proximity to the seaside and salty air. Purple Heart hardwood slats also provided additional durability to the seating reducing any ongoing maintenance requirements.
