Working with the Auckland Council Landscape Team, Walkspace have designed and supplied some simple cost effective perchs for use at the newly upgraded Riverhead War Memorial Park.
Riverhead, located to Auckland’s North West, has seen rapid growth over the last 5-10 years and a requirement for families needing a place to play. The large centrally located playspace caters to children of all ages. The playground and Perch’s colourful design considers anyone who is visually impaired with the bright colours easy to see.
The perch’s are fabricated from aluminium with a powdercoated finish with Hardwood timber slats. The perforated pattern references local storytelling and is used throughout the space.
