The final pieces of bespoke furniture have finally landed onsite at Auckland's Wynyard Quarter
The seating comprising a complex formed precast base clad in Purple Heart including a concealed stainless sub-frame were HIAB into place early last week to complete the public courtyard space to the new Fonterra Building on Auckland's waterfront.
Given the precast's complex form the moulds were manufactured direct from the architects drawing files to achieve exact conformity. The precast mix including a 5% black oxide with a clear sealer completed the units offering a clean durable finish.
The seating is designed to either stand alone or nest together to form informal meeting areas and comes in 3 variants, bench units and seats with either short or long backs to offer longer term seating options.
